| Possible problems with latest Windows Update on Internet Explorer 6.0 |
|
There is some early indication from newsgroup posts that KB905915 which was just released through Microsoft Update (or Windows Update) may cause *SEVERE* breaks of functionalty in IE 6.0. You can read about my personal experiences with it today here: http://petesbloggerama.blogspot.com/2005/12/windows-update-maybe-not-thank-you.html UPDATE 12/17/2005: There is at least one "fix" now available: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ie/905915.htm More information is available on the IE Blog here: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/12/16/504864.aspx I am not changing my posture on this. I will continue to download updates, but I will not install them until after I have had a chance to see what issues are reported. I cannot afford the down time from issues like this.
