C# Specification CHM Compiled Help File

By Peter A. Bromberg, Ph.D.
Printer - Friendly Version

Peter Bromberg

Jon Jagger recently made available a downloadable ZIP of his conversion of the ECMA C# Specification into separate HTML Files by section and added an excellent Table of Contents, Index and a page of errors / notes. He wrote a custom Perl program to do this, and has made his work available online to the developer community at http://www.jaggersoft.com/csharp_standard/index.htm.

I realized that this work would lend itself very easily to creating a compiled help file with full text search, and I am making this available for download HERE (572K).

The help file doesn't have an index or TOC as these are in Jon's work already, and I've compiled the help file so that Jon's TOC is the default page. However, the FullText search capability works well, and makes it very easy to find the pages where a particular search term appears.

I've left all of Jon's images, notes and formatting untouched. If you are interested in C#, this file should prove to be very useful.

Enjoy!
