Scenario:
Web Parts features (like design mode) require the user to be
authenticated and registered.
But what if you don't want the users to go through registration but
still enable personalization?
Answers:
Alternative 1:
Use Windows Authentication (good for intranet)
Modify Web.config to have
<system.web>
...
<authentication mode="Windows"/
...
</system.web>
In IIS virtual directory, right click properties--> disable
"Anonymous" access and enable Windows Authentication
Alternative 2:
Use anonymous personalization trick:
