ASP.NET, SQL Server, WPF, C#, VB.NET

I just upgraded my operating system to XP (have Office 2000). Now all of my  
  
spreadsheets and Word docs take forever to open up (5+ minutes). (My computer  
  
meets all of the processor and RAM requirments - no problem running other  
  
non-MS applications with greater system requirements - the XP "support" was  
  
of no help... "We don't do Office." Suggestiosn please. Thanks.

Any anti virus plugins? if so try disabling them
