Is Outlook based on the SID of the user ?
Hello,
first of all sorry if I make mistakes but I am not english/american ;p)
I have a little problem with some users that are using Outlook
(XP/2003).
Long time ago, there were a migration from one NT4 domain to another
(username user.old for the old domain and user.new for the new one) and
some users copy/paste manually their documents from one profile to the
other.
Indeed, even if the NTFS security for the profile is OK, some users
have problem launching Outlook (s ...

Central Address book management
Hi, We use OE 6 and out ISP hosts our messaging (pop3/smtp). We use WAB to
manage our contacts. Now we are hireling and there a gripes when I
distribute new addresses. I send the updates in a csv file that can be
imported into the users own address book. I'm looking for a more elegant
solution, like a central address book. The problem is, the users still need
to manage their own contacts. We may be upgrading to the latest Outlook soon
(as opposed to OE).
We have many people ...

Outlook has experienced a problem and needs to close....
About 3 or 4 days ago, I get that message every time I start Outlook
2000. This appears to have begun immediately after an automatic Windows
Update. When I click for "more information" I get the following.
AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.2416 ModName: msvcrt.dll
ModVer: 7.0.2600.2180 Offset: 00037efe
If anyone can help me to fix this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Outlook 2007 email editor
Has anyone noticed that you are only allowed to compose one e-mail in Outlook
2007? Everytime I do one reply, forward, or new message I can only do that
and no more. If I attempt a 2nd message and beyond, Outlook will crash and
then restart and then I can compose another message. But, only one every
time until it crashes and then I can do another - what a cycle?!?!
I tried to search the discussions boards on this topic but everytime I
search, IE7 Beta crashes...hahaha

I really need help!
we had to restore the message database on our outlook 2003 server. now,
one of our users has 8 messages (3 unread) in her deleted items folder.
the messages have no subject, recipient, sent date or message. they do
have a received of "none". you cannot open them but you can see them
listed there.
how can those "ghost" messages be deleted?
how can the unread message count go back to 0 instead of 3?
thanks for your help

Outlook 2003 issues w/POP & Network Solutions
I've got a WinXPHome - all up to date.
Outlook 2003 - all up to date.
Norton Internet Security 2006 - disabled (as far as I can tell) - this was
my first thought of being an issue
POP mail with Network Solutions has issues sending and receiving. I've
adjusting to port 2525 for outgoing and switched back & forth on that. No
SSL.
If I telnet to mail.domain.com 25 or 2525 no repsonse.
I can setup another POP mail account (to my own Exchange 2003 server) and it
works fine. ...

UDP packet for notification to outlook client on Citrix seems to fail
Hello,
In our network we use Citrix Presentation Server 4.0. Our citrix server
(windows 2003 SP1) has Office 2002 installed with SP3. All users use
outlook to connect to Exchange 2003 SP2.
When a new mail arrives at the Exchange server it takes between 1
second to 1 minute for the new mail item to popup (new mail
notification) in outlook. This indicates that the UDP packet, which is
send by Exchange, is not picked up by the client because the mail is
not immediatly shown ...

I am using Outlook 2007 since some time. After 2 weeks without any problems,

I tried to re-install instant search, but the problem is still there. And I
tried to just give the computer enough time to index the mailbox, no results
