I have a document that someone else created and I am trying to add a page

boarder. When I got into format and click on boarders and select page

boarder I get a message "The measurement must be between 1pt & 31pt". I have

done almost everything I can think of to remove this but nothing is

happening. I have gone into Frames and tried there, I have gone into page set

up and tried there. HELP!

The 1-31-pt measurement is the distance between the border and the edge of

the page or the margin. If you are able to use the dialog at all, click on

Options and change these settings. If you are unable even to get that far

(as it appears), then try starting Word in Safe Mode (press Ctrl and hold it

while Word loads or use Start | Run | winword.exe /a). If you are able to

add the page border there, then there is probably a problem with Normal.dot;
