Repartition a drive without Server Magic or other software
Roger Heidelberger posted at Thursday, April 23, 2009 10:09 AM

I have two drives: c: has 4 gb and d: has 100 gb.  I want 40 gb from d onto c.  Is there any way to do this without servermagic or other software like that or without reinstalling Windows 2000 again.

Would I be able to just move everything from d onto an external hardrive, delete d, extend c and then put everything back onto c

I don't think even then you can  extend C drive with out using any software like Partition magic or others etc. as it a system/ boot drive.

For extending other drives you can make use of Diskpart.exe utility available with xp
