Do you mean to say all UI, Web service, DB related configuration in single layer?

Just think if your Webservice needs to be accessed by some external client directly..

In this case, its not a good idea to have all in one place..

Always, you can have configuration settings defined for Web services and DB in one layer, which is most accepted approach..

think twice before you proceed...
