Change page characteristics on a page by page basis

I would like to be able to control a printer or MFP (PCL, PS GDI)  under .NET in a relatively device independent method.  For example I would like so feed from a different tray and staple the last group of printed pages.  Does anyone have code or an refer me to a commercial control to do this.
