Works 9 Word Processor Merge Date Filtering
Ray Burk posted at Wednesday, November 04, 2009 1:17 PM

In Works 8, I use date filtering to print out labels using mail merge from a small database. When I got a new computer (ASUS eee 1005HAB netbook) as a backup unit, it had Works 9 installed. I can no longer use the date filtering in the mail merge, nor can I get the dates to print out in correct (mm/dd/yyyy) format. I am able to filter the dates from within the Works database, but not from within the Works Word Processor. It's almost as if the Word Processor (the mail merge facility) uses the days from start code, not the date format  that the database uses. I tried rewriting a short sample database form within Works 9, and got the same result when I use mail merge. Can anyone guide me? I keep the database for the local Friends of the Library, and I fear that is my main computer dies, we're out of luck.
