Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 is very CPU
intensive with its crawling and indexing functions. Microsoft Office Project
Server 2003 is just as intensive for its publishing and VWnotify services.
Note Running these services at the same time on the same server may create
conflicts. For example, some of the conflicts that may occur include:
Excessive memory usage
Excessive paging to the hard disk drive
Service performance degradation
One service delaying the start of the other service

On the IP Address and Port Settings screen of the Web Site
Creation Wizard, follow these steps:
In the Enter the IP address to use for this Web site box,
click All Unassigned.
In the TCP port this Web site should use box, type a unique
port address such as 8083.

Note Ideally, this is the e-mail address for a new user in the domain

password that never expires. You can then use the same user account for the
PSCOM+ components.
Click OK to close Extend and Create Content Database.
Click OK after the virtual server has been extended
