Microsoft Excel - Conditional Formatting Text Values

I am trying to use the Icon sets to format my text cells.  For example, A1 contains, "First time in top 10" and A2 contains, "No change from last week".  I want cell A1 to have an upward green arrow and A2 to have a sideways yellow arrow.  Any thoughts - I feel like I've tried all the obvious ways.
