Lounge - PWA Timesheet Weekly View

We've been using PWA for over 2 years, tracking project hours through My Tasks and administration time through My Timesheets on a daily basis. However we now want to start tracking hours on a weekly basis. As the administator I've managed to change the task view so time can be entered weekly but when I change the timesheets to weekly the user is unable to key anything into the blank cells.
Can weekly hours be entered? If so what do I need to do to make it work.

Yes. You can enter timesheet as weekly units. Go to Server Settings --> Timesheet Settings and Defaults -> Timesheet Grid
Column Units and change units from days to week.

Is that how you changed the task view?

And can you check the post by "Pepe" in this Office forum thread for the "user" issue.

There are two options that come to mind:

1. MSProjectExperts have a web part that may assist called PowerTotals (http://www.msprojectexperts.com/software/PowerTotals2010.aspx)

2. The timesheet grid uses the JSGrid which can be extended quite easily and is very well documented, check out the documentation at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff535984.aspx andhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee535898.aspx. As long as you were totalling information that is present in the grid, you should be fine.

Thanks for the reply. I've already tried that and it didn't work.  I changed the My Tasks to a weekly view by amending 'Resources should report their total hours worked for a week' in Task Setting and Display.
