HELP!!  Suddenly I am unable to send information to a key contact, and receive the following message:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:    FW: AES Proposal

      Sent: 2/8/2010 9:38 AM

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

Knox Jones on 2/8/2010 9:38 AM

None of your e-mail accounts could send to this recipient.

This occurs when in Outlook 2007 with any one of 3 email accounts (including a gmail account).  But when I send directly from gmail, the emails I send are received.

How can this be fixed??

This error occurr on all sent emails.
If your answer is yes, may be is a configuration problem.
For your gmail account, you can compare your configuration with the following steps discribed on this site.

If your answer is no, I think is the recipient address problem.

I hope the information help you.

I was having the same problem in Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010.  I tried changing all of my IMAP accounts to POP, and I still got the same error.  Then I discovered that if I edit the email address and strip off the preamble "Display As" information from the address, and just enter the email address, then it sends perfectly.  Unfortunately, I don't want to have to do that each time I send email for each recipient.

Does anyone know how to defeat this problem?

Same problem for me, Outlook 2010.  I changed from POP to IMAP and now I get "none of your email accounts could send to this recipient"  9/10 if I look in the sent folder it will show the email recipient listed as last name, firstname () with no email address listed.  It doesn't happen on every email but it happens even on replies.  I can go back in and edit the user name in the contact (address) book re-add the email address again and it will send fine.

I really do not want to edit every contact name in my address book, why did all of the email addresses disappear?  I sometimes find the email address in email 3 but not always.

Hi
I upgraded from O2007 to O2010, (pop account) and got the email from System Administrator ie Outlook itself, none of your email accounts could send to this recipient on a few contacts. I solved it via editing the display as value on those contacts. Frustrating as it worked in O2007 with the same Contact entry. I first thought it was a client server issue, but after doing a trace I saw that outlook didn't even contacted the SMTP server. And also there were no internet headders on the mail from System Administrator.
I wish that MS tweaked this to work better..

Gmail is almost certainly the problem.

I created a Gmail account to use from my mobile phone (as the mobile operator's own SMTP servers keep getting blocked by Spamcop etc) and, so I could monitor responses to any emails sent from the phone on my PC, I also added it to my Outlook email accounts (read only).  Almost immediately, I started getting the dreaded error message ("none of your email accounts could send to this recipient") and, when I went into the Sent folder and checked the email, it had been sent with the Gmail email address.  This happened extensively and at random - even when I specifically selected my default account - which is not Gmail.  Really weird and quite inexplicable - but apparently caused by something in the IMAP protocol.
In despair, I deleted the Gmail account (and now just use it on my phone - although that does mean I sometimes miss incoming emails for quite some time, if I don't notice that the phone has received a message).  This has cured the problem completely.
I'd suggest, don't use a Gmail account within Outlook.

One of my user faced the same problem with Outlook 2007 on a office computer configured for Exchange access.  I resolve this issue by simply choosing "Resend This Message" then double clicking the offending email address, clicking the "Internet Type" button to change type to SMTP then OK.  It sents the mail fine.

You have to create the email and add the users email address into the To field.
Then double-click on the email address.
From there you will see the button to change to Internet Type or Custome Type.

I had this problem sending to one of our clients using Outlook 2007. The problem was resolved by opening a new email, start typing the offending email address and when it appears in the list use the down arrow to select it and press delete. Re-type the address and the email should now send.

hope this helps.
