Outlook - microsoft office outlook has stopped working

Every time I try to download my email I get a message saying that Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working.

In Control Panel, Choose Programs and Features. Find Microsoft Office in the list, click on it and choose "Repair".

Also, you should disable e-mail scanning in Antivirus.  It's not that useful and can sometimes cause problems. or Something is interfering with outlook filters for the junk mail. There is a possibility some unwanted mail is causing this. Try logging through IE to your mail server and see which mails are pending download so you can identify them.
Also do update Outlook mail junk filters
