Net packaging / wrapper application? .NET Framework I am looking for an application that will wrap my .Net application (and any needed .Net parts) into a single exe. I know of Thinstall ($4, 000 for application and per copy fees for your exes) and of Xenocode (~$1, 500 plus ~ $12 per and ship it as a single exe) would be a FANTASTIC addition to the .Net application suite. It would simplify the shipping & installation and not even require the end user to have .Net installed or to install the application. It also avoids DLL and .Net Version Hell. If Microsoft was going to buy something Microsoft MVP Do you have Visual Studio 2005? If so why not make a windows application? Kevin, While I certainly appreciate your willingness to peck out those URLs, they are in into a single executable. Windows Installer does not allow a user to run a .Net application without having .Net installed. Windows Installer does not obfuscate the executable contents. Windows Installer does
SQL Server SQL, Server2005, "connection, was, forcibly, closed", GNE, 1" / > Hi, with an Access 2007 application, I have a very big problem connecting an SQL Server 2005. The scenario: - nearly 200 WLAN, different locations - one SQL Server 2005 EE, uses actually 36 databases, the Access 2007 application uses 2 of them (one for testing, one for production) - around 50 tables in the database the application uses - changing number of clients using the SQL Server with this frontend at the same ID and a nvarchar(255) column). Unfortunately the solution did not solve the problem. The application uses two different methods to access the tables on the server. First the tables are Password;APP = 2007 Microsoft Office system;DATABASE = DatabaseName; The second method is inside the VBA application where ADO is being used to access queries and tasks like INSERT, UPDATE and so Provider = SQLNCLI;" & _ where the constants for the right parameters are set elsewhere in the application with the same contents as in the other connection string. As I am only database the normal SQL Server to this smaller version and relinked a test version of the application to this. Anything else is the same here. I tried to run a Performance Monitor started 5 clients to use this database. Then I opened any table without starting the application ( the VBA part) only using the Navigation pane of Access, with all of the 5

Hi, I am trying to find if the windows server 2003 provide the support for application failover rather than the node failover? I would like to switch to another node in the cluster if the application stops responding or killed. I understand that the node failures are being handled by the microsoft windows server 2003 enterprise edition. If the application failover is supported, then do we need to build any thing in the application to enable this feature? What are the steps required to register the application to enable the failover when the node is still active? I understand that Windows server licence? Your answers are highly appreciated?
