Customize Quick Launch to expand out (fly out menu) 2 levels rather than just one

Hello,..I have figured a way by editing the code in SPD07 to make the Quick Launch menu customized in such a way so that it becomes a one level fly out....  I really need it to expand out to one more level (expand from the sub level) I tried by simply adding the number "2" (MaximumDynamicDisplayLevels="2" ) and the Static Display to "2",..but by doing so,...I'm left wondering where do I add the new page links to that second level? When in SharePoint,...in Site Settings, there is no option to add a new link to one of the existing  links.....only the main headings.....This leaves me wondering....Is it possible to make the Quick Launch expand out more than one level?
