VB 6.0 - fit to page in crystal report automatically if the data is large

i have generating crystal report using vb as front end and SQL 2000 as back end. now want the crystal report automatically shrink the data if it is long and shows the as it is in fit to page.

You cannot achieve complete perfection. But you can choose the fields and apply the "can grow" property to achieve certain autofit.

Hello satya,

here one thing you can try is.
Go to the File menu and select Page Setup.  You can change the orientation of your paper and the paper size here.

and second thing that what are the controls that you are using to show the data Is it the CrystalReportsViewer?  ActiveX component?  Java Component?  Crystal Reports Server? They all can have their own little quirks. try with them also.

As far as I can see, the font property is readonly, it can not be changed at runtime.

The better way to eliminate overlaps is to split the section so that the "growing" object is at the bottom of a subsection.  That way you can make the object small again and let it grow when it needs to.
