Visual Studio.NET cannot create or open application.The likeliest problem is that required components are not installed on the local webserver.Run Visual Studio.NET setup and add the Web Development component

Try to rerun the file "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe" , the path may vary as per your installation.

The path is never going to change as it is a part of .Net framework installing which also goes in to windows folder

the path as given above is 
"C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe"

Hi,
We cannot expect all the peolpe to maintain their OS in the C: Drive.
Some could use thier D: drive for theri Os and in such secnarion it could be a different path.

I agree with U Chandra but what i said is it goes into the windows folder of the OS which is currently used..

even after running aspnet_regiis -i command when i am opening a new proj of web apllication with c#.. new project is not opening.

an error is coming stating " the operation could not be completed"

IIS Web server does not serve ASP.NET sites.  This is a common problem that I face everytime I do a reinstallation. There is a tool aspnet_regiis which will easily set the assicialtions. For more details I check this site that was helpful:-
