Hi experts,
we want to setup DNS scavenging to a low (2hours) refresh/non-refresh time interval for various reasons (mainly roaming notebooks in different subnets which causes troubles with DNS --> DNS records points to wrong IP adresses, etc ). All needed settings like a GPO setting to set the DDNS refresh interval to 30 mins, setting up DHCP lease time to similar time intervals etc have been successfully configured.
Our only problem are Microsoft cluster network name resources for which we cannot figure out how to set their DDNS update refresh interval. MS literature only states that the refresh interval is 24h which is much to long for our case.
Info: The general GPO setting: CMP/Administrative Templates/Network/DNS Client/Registration Refresh Interval sets the correct refresh interval for the host but not for the clustered network name resources.
Any input leading into the right directions are welcome.
With kind regards,
Michael
