We are having the same trouble with Outlook Express v.6 suddenly unable to pull down email from the Comcast server. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed by Comcast and they refuse to admit the issue belongs to them. We have rebuilt our computer and reinstalled the Operating System and Outlook Express with it and we are receiving the same error messages. It is my assumption as an A+ Certified Computer Technician that the problem is either an upgrade to the Comcast email system that caused an email to hang between their server and this Outlook Express program. This person will have to purchase a whole new email program because of this issue with Comcast email system.

I had the same problem. Found that comcast has changed their config requirements. Try activating "server requires SSL" in account management under the advanced tab. it is the last graphic at the site http://customer.comcast.com/Pages/FAQViewer.aspx?Guid=b454828c-37a6-459a-9191-2a1b0f2bb20e thathas changed from their original instructions. At lest it worked for me. good luck

Thanks. I just figured out that the Comcast Server sees SSL as being checked even though it is not checked. I will try checking it to see if that works. However, the work around is to change the email account email address. Thanks

Updates unable to be installed after repairing windows xp Windows 7 Hi, I owned a Dell XPS 1210, running genuine windows xp sp2. There were some issue with the mup.sys file and was advised to repair the windows installation with the installation cd provided by Dell. However, in the most recent windows update, the following updates were not able to be installed successfully after they were downloaded
