Create Hyperlink to a Bookmark

The short answer is yes this can be done and it is called using Bookmarks and Hyperlinks.

If you want to link to another document simply use a Hyperlink.

If you want to link to a location in another document you will need to create and use a Bookmark and a Hyperlink.

Add a Bookmark

1. Select an item you want a bookmark assigned to, or click where you want to insert a bookmark.
2. On the Insert menu, click Bookmark.
3. Under Bookmark name, type or select a name.
4. Click Add.

Thanks

Hi,

All that u have to do is, Create a bookmark hyperlink , and point the hyperlink to the Bookmark in the page u want.

So u have to first create a Bookmark in the page that u want to Navigate.

To add a Bookmark host control to a document using the Bookmark dialog box

  • Select the data you want to include in the bookmark.
  • From in the Insert menu, select Bookmark.
  • In the Bookmark dialog box, type the name of the bookmark in the Bookmark name box and click Add.

To add a Bookmark control to a document using the Toolbox

  • Open the Toolbox and click the Word Controls tab.
  • Click Bookmark and drag it to the document.
  • The Add Bookmark dialog box appears.
  • Select the data you want to include in the bookmark.
  • Click OK.

If you do not want the default name given to the control, you can change the name in the Properties window.

This will help u to create those

Let us suppose one document having 100 pages and 1 index page.  If I click on index page on one item then it directly goes to 50th page?

Example:

          1.  The Company Terms and Conditions                                                                                     50

If i click on Company Terms and Conditions. Directly it needs to go to 50th page?

That is my requirement.

hi..

1. Place a blookmark in the page you want to link to -> Insert -> Bookmark -> Give it a name

2. Go to the contents page, select the word in the contents -> Insert Hyperlink -> Place in this doc -> Bookmark: name you created in step 1.
