Hi,

Like a lot of other folks I have errors trying to connect Outllok 2003

SP2 to the CRM 3.0 server despite the install completing successfully,

I have tried some of the solutions from other posts but as yet no joy.

I must say that not only are there several issues and fixes needed to

get the CRM 3.0 server install to work on a SBS 2003 Premium box but

to have a similar set on the client just goes to show what a real dog

M'Soft have let loose here; the total number of hours sys admins have

spent troubleshooting this puppy is beyong belief!

Sorry about the rant, my problem is that on the CRM server I can

access the web site on port 5555 but on a client the page starts to

render then the window closes immedaitely, the only error I had in

relation to CRM was:

Event Type:	Error

Event Source:	MSCRMAddin

Event Category:	None

Event ID:	5974

Date: 17/01/2006

Time: 00:01:41

User: N/A

Computer:	DELL8500

Description:

There was an error setting or clearing the cookie used in identifying

Microsoft CRM clients. Microsoft CRM folder home pages may render

incorrectly inside the view pane. Check Internet Explorer cookie

settings and restart Microsoft Outlook. HR=0x0. Context=.

Function=CAddin::HrActivateAddin. Line=461.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I have allowed all cookies from all sites yet still no luck.

Has anyone been unable to get to the CRM site from a client browser

and if so have you found a fix?

Thanks for any advice, man I have spent hours just getting to this

point!

Just forgot to mention that I have set the user up and put him in the

right group, also the Adminitstrator can get to the CRM site from

another client on port 5555.
