11/21/2005 3:51:03 PM    Do Windows Mobile 2003 Users benefit from Exchange SP2?
If we have users running Windows Mobile 2003, does Exchange SP2 offer them

anything new? Can they benefit from the direct push technology or do they

need the Windows Mobile 5.0 and the Messaging and Security Feature Pack?

Sorry but Exchange SP2 offers no benefit for Windows Mobile 2003. Windows

Mobile 2003 Phone Edition can still use sms base sync but not the new SP2

sync mechanism. For Windows Mobile 5 users to really benefit from SP2 they

will need the MS feature pack which isn't out and will be distributed via

the OEMs.

From what I've seen online looks to be Q1 of 2006

Ay idea when MS will make the feature pack available ? (I know they have no

control over when the OEMs will !)

thanks
