ASP.NET, SQL Server, WPF, C#, VB.NET

Hi,  
  
I have a Treo 650 setup with Exchange Activesync talking to Echange 2k3  
  
server.  The sync process seems to go fine on the phone end of things,  
  
but dies on sending at the Exchange server SMTP connector.  The sent  
  
messages do show up in the user's sent folder, but they get stuck in  
  
the SMTP queu.  The messages will then a: generate a delay warning, and  
  
b: prevent any messages from being sent by any other means until the  
  
offending message is deleted from the queu.  The only exceptions to  
  
this are that occcasionally it's allowed me to reply to messages  
  
recieved, (however this happens with a substantial delay and doesn't  
  
always work).  
  
Both OWA, and Outlook are working fine on the same server using the  
  
same account.  
  
I Googled this for hours, and it seems that there are no other reports  
  
of this happening, any ideas would be much appreciated.

I assume you mean the queue on the Exchange server, right? If so, you  
  
should be able to display the message and see who the sender is. Take a  
  
look at that and see if the sender's addr is what you expect.

Actually,  I just figured it out based on a solution somebody had to  
  
problems synchronizing calendar entries, can't remember exactly what  
  
their issue was, but it was something similar wherein things would  
  
appear to work but had some weird issues.  I guess there must be some  
  
database in VersaMail that can get corrupted on the Palm if you create  
  
the account from VersaMail, and not via HotSync?  Whatever it was my  
  
best guess is that it was sending corrupted messages, don't know,  
  
they did appear to be correct in the Exchange queue, i.e. correct from:  
  
and to: listed in the message detail.   The messages never did generate  
  
any errors on the Exchange server (neither in the event log or the  
  
Exchange log), so I still don't know for sure what it was.  
  
Anyway, what I did was create a dummy second account in VersaMail so  
  
that it would allow me to delete the Exchange address, went ahead and  
  
deleted the Exchange account, then synced up with the cable (note: you  
  
have to close any open dialogs for the sync to happen).  The result of  
  
that was that nothing had changed in terms of accounts on either the  
  
desktop or the Palm, i.e. the palm had the dummy account, and the  
  
desktop still showed the Exchange account.  Next, I created a dummy  
  
account with a different name on the desktop by going to the HotSync  
  
tray icon and selecting "Custom" from the pop-up, and double  
  
clicking Versamail (this way you can both add and delete accounts,  
  
which you can't do from Palm desktop for some reason), I then deleted  
  
the Exchange account there, did another cable sync which got the two  
  
accounts to show up on both the Palm and the desktop.  From there I  
  
went back into the Versamail setup on the desktop, added back the  
  
Exchange account, and deleted both dummy accounts, did another cable  
  
sync, tested sending from the Palm, and everything worked.

following "error while syncing: airsamsmemail.c 2549 1 http/1. 500 internal  
  
server error" .  I guess I have a couple of questions.  
  
1.) Is there a special service that has to be installed, and will it install  
  
on my only Exchange server?  
  
2.) Will it sync through the cell phone connection, or does it have to  
  
connect to the desktop to sync?  
  
3.)  Are there any special ports that have to be opened on the firewall to  
  
allow this traffic through?  
  
If I go to the IIS manager, I can see a folder under there for Microsoft  
  
Active sync, but there is nothing in it.
