Previous Thread:   Activesync thru Security Configuration Wizard - Exchange 2003

9/1/2005 10:32:37 AM    Delete device messages
Hello

Anyone know how you delete messages from the device without using ActiveSync

or a device reset?

We are having Exchange ActiveSync problems, and have found the cause to be a

message in the users inbox that cannot be deleted. This causes the device to

fail when synchronizing. We have deleted the message from the PC Outlook

inbox, but since it is still on the device, the device cannot synchronize.

Therefore we want to delete the message from the device, but without doing a

fulle reset.

Thanks in advance

Best regards,

Try this. Go to ActiveSync on the device and select

Tools|Options|Server and uncheck Mail and then OK. Now, go back and

recheck it. It *should* purge the box that point and blow everything

away in the Outlook Email folders.

If it doesn't, or checking the box gives an error that you can't clear

the mail settings and to try later, check out this thread:

The tool there might help and this problem may be caused by a restore

by Sprite Backup.
