I have a Axim X51v 624Mhz with windows mobile 5.0. I have a  
  
wireless network setup at my home. I want to use my pocket pc to access  
  
the shared folders of windows XP home PC via wireless network. I can  
  
ping my XP Home PC from the pocket PC, but I do not know how to access  
  
the shared folder?  Is there any additional software I need?  
  
Any tips are greatly appreciated.

start file explorer on the ppc when connected and tap the "connect" icon  
  
at the bottom or the connect menu option.  
  
enter at least the unc computer name (\\computername\) ip address will  
  
not work.  Once accepted, you will then be able to browse that  
  
computer's shares... you cannot browse the network with the default  
  
software but there are third party apps which allow network browsing.  
  
Finally, with file explorer, you can "copy" to and from shares, but you  
  
will not be able to "open" files on a share using file explorer...  
  
again, third party options are available.

Yes, that works. I do not understand why ip address does not work? I  
  
could not even ping the hostname from my pocket pc. Anybody can give me
