The viewer only has the option to print the presentation (one slide per

page). To print handouts (2, 3, 6, or 9 slides per page), you need the full

version of PowerPoint.

I just checked and the PowerPoint Viewer doesn't have the ability to change print options (more specificaly,

"Print what:") in the way you are asking.

The PowerPoint Viewer can only print one (full) slide per page which can't be changed.

So yes, you will need the full version of Microsoft PowerPoint to print Handouts, Notes Pages, or an Outline

View.

In addition, you should post in Plain Text.

Robyn,

there is a slight possibility that you can "print handout pages showing

multiple slides"...

That is... if your printer lets you...

Select the printer and look on its "Preferences"... Do you see something

like "Pages by sheet" or "Multipages"? You're lucky... No... I'm sorry.

At least one of my printers allows this, but the Viewer does some sort of magic

that overrules it. It still prints one slide per page. Grrrrr

Sometimes it does not do it at the first time... You have *to insist*...

change from PCL6 to PS (or from one Printer to another)... look again...

enter Preferences again, and click "Print" *only* when *finally* it is fixed

in "Preferences". HP LaserJet 2100 PCL6 and Series PS (for example).

Hi Enric,

I'm puzzled. Preferences? The Viewer print dialog doesn't have a Preferences

option (Viewer 2003 is what I'm using). It does seem to change its print

dialog to match the preferences for the printer you choose, though.

Even so, with my HP1320 PS and before that the Epson C64 inkjet, it happily

ignores the n-up settings I specify. I can set them in the Viewer's print

dialog or Control Panel, Print Preferences and still ... a six page

presentation costs six sheets of paper. :-(

So do you have manitas de plata or what? <g>

Señor de Plata

I like the last step (after 2) in the instructions.

But it's about the same as what I've tried and ... nada.

Or rather too much. One sheet per slide still.

It must be a PPT vs the Driver thing. Oh, and this is a PS driver, by the way.
