Graphics have textboxes set with white background and no lines. When slides printed they appear with lined borders.
Based on a post Echo made last month, http://groups.google.co.uk/group/microsoft.public.powerpoint/msg/491ec5d22661f1bc it looks like if you will have to use "No Fill" for the textbox, and draw a white box beneath the text.
