How might I run regedit in the Recovery Console so as to remove some internet

"Pop-Up" regestry entries that are locked when in windows mode.

When in the console if regedit.exe is typed I get "Command cannot be found"

error.

Thanks,

regedit is a gui mode tool hence it wouldn't run from the RC. Use one of the

spyware tools.

Backup your registry with ntbackup.exe (ERD...).

Load the "\Regback\" copy of (SOFTWARE ?) into regedt32.exe and

edit it if possible.

Reboot to RC and overwrite the active SOFTWARE hive file with the

modified one. (keeping safety copies of everything of course)

But I believe that using anti-malware tools to cleanup whatever is

the problem (possibly from a Safe Mode boot) is an easier procedure

that may work to resolve the problem.

You should post more details on the "infection", the OS and full

registry paths involved perhaps...
