Generally grab it with the mouse and drag wherever you like.

Win2K Pro:

I have had this trouble for years. I want to get a handle on it.

Click on the toolbar of the desktop in a way it does not like and it jumps

from its familiar place (below) and docks on the right side where I do not

want it to be. My other computer has it on the left edge of the screen where

is seems to be the best place for it to dwell, I mean it is the most

convenient place for me.

At my workstation at the office (same Win2K Pro) I tried to move it today

from the bottom and somehow it ended on the right side. I do not even

remember the maneuvers I performed to achieve it. Screw it, I struggled to

dislodge it and now it is on the very top. It is kind of fine, an acceptable

compromise except it makes me nervous: where is it going to be tomorrow if I

decided to change its width which I frequently do?

Where is the registry entry which controls it? I tried to comb the registry

and could not find the key, at least I couldn't find anything meaningful .

Thanks in advance.

Please post in Plain Text for NNTP as a courtesy to all. Thanks

As Dave said, grab and drag it...

But if you are looking for a way to "lock" the Taskbar in W2K,

there isn't one.
