We recently extended our active directory to offices in France and have some

administrators working with groups policies in France.

We also share an admin Terminal Server so the Terminal Server we do most

Group Policy admin on has French language installed as well as English.

Since that change happened some of my older group policies 'administrative

templates' content is displayed in French. I am finding it a nightmare trying

to modify any group policies where this has happened as I don't understand

the options or descriptions when written in French so would like to change

the display language of these back to English.

Hi Marcus,

Basically the ADM files on your machine need to be newer than the french ADM

files.

When the Group Policy editor opens a GPO, it will compare the timestamp of

the ADM files in the container in SYSVOL with the ADM files local on your

computer in the %WINDIR%\Inf folder.

If your ADM files are newer, it will upload those files and use them instead

of the french files.
