Good Morning!
I am having a problem with a 2003 server that I brought into my 2000 domain.
I have a freshly loaded 2003 server that is replacing the master 2000 server
in my domain.
I updated the schema. No problems
I transferred the schema master role. No Problems
I transferred the domain naming master role. No Problems
I transferred the RID master role. No Problems
I transferred the PDC emulator role (yeah, still got a couple NT boxes to
kill). No Problems
I transferred the infrastructure master role. No Problems
I transferred the global catalog. No Problems
The problem is that now, if I try to browse the entire network from any
computer in the domain (with the exception of the new 2003 server), it tells
me my domain is not accessible and the list of servers for this workgroup is
not currently available.
If I shut down the 2003 machine, I can browse again. Turn it back on and I
can't browse again.
I've been digging through the KB with a little help.
Managed to clear up the errors I was getting in the event logs.
Although I can't access the application or system logs on the 2000 DCs
unless I remote to them from the 2003 DC. Not sure if this is tied to the
browsing problems or not.
I thought maybe it just needed to settle down and finish synchronizing for a
while. Nope. It has been like this for a week now.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mark
