Dale Morrell’s career has been predominately in the building and construction sector; first as a consulting engineer and more recently as a plumbing contractor. Recently he has returned to consulting engineering in the defence sector while sustaining his involvement in plumbing construction and maintenance.
As a consulting engineer for GHD and Wallis & Spratt, Dale was involved in projects including Sydney’s M2 motorway, the parallel runway at Kingsford Smith airport, the Mausoleum of the Resurrection at Rookwood Cemetery and Cable TV roll-out in Kuala Lumpur. For Sofraco Engineering Systems, he has been involved in modifications and enhancements to the ships of the Royal Australian Navy.
As CEO of Morrell Plumbing since 1999, Dale has been involved in all aspects of managing an SME in a cyclical and highly competitive industry. He has developed, implemented and achieved ISO9001 accreditation for the company’s quality system which established risk management and customer satisfaction as central goals of the organisation.
Dale has earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Design Science (Building Services) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Business Administration (Executive) from the AGSM MBA Programs. He has a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and has been facilitating at the AGSM since 2007.
