The typical user is expected to have very little computer familiarity other than "point & click" and entering a word or two in a text field.

I work with SQL2005 on WindowsServer 2003/R2 32bit and I'm also have admin privileges.

I can run Integration Services and design my package.

When I try to run Integration services under Management Studio, It doesn't work because I cannot select sql authentication but only windows authentication. When I try to launch with this limitation, always appears a msg that I cannot run it.

It's strange because in sql server manament I can't see the service.

What do I have to do ?

We have an application which authenticates using the active directory credential and smartcard certificate.

But when the issuer Certificate Authority goes down, we are not able to access the particular application using the Smartcard Certificate issued by the same Sub CA, but we are successfully able to login to the application using the user’s smartcard certificate which are issued by other sub CA

What may be the reason?

1. Clients, application server and Sub CAs are in 1 domain
2. The authenticate users are in a group inside Active Directory.
3. The Server certificate is issued from one of the Sub CA.
4. we have one root ca and 2 sub ca.

Hi,

I am using DrawThemeTextEx to draw text with glow behind on a form that uses the Aero Glass effects of Vista and Win7, and it works perfectly (as per the first picture below). 

However, if I add some color to the glass using LinearGradientBrush, the text is surrounded by a transparent rectangle (as in the second picture).

Is there a way around this?

 The above two words contain Enter key(i.e vbnewline) between them.If I pass followinf string to my Method it doesn't recognize the whole word and doesn't replace the word. I have called my method as

I newbie to WinCE. I'm working in WINDOWS CE 6.0. We are developing Our own SDIO Stack and WLAN drivers.

My SDIO Stack is working fine and its able to initialize any wireless LAN card or SD/MMC Memory card. When i connect my WLAN card,After initialization, its starting dowloading the WLAN firmware to the card and After download to the card, its able to detect the AP's in and around the circle and Displays in the PoP-Up window properly. But the problem is, once the PoP-Up window comes, I can able to access the PoP -Up window for 2 to 3 seconds only. After that the PoP-Up window Hangs. But at the same time I can able to access the other icons in the panel like Mydevice or Wordpad or any Game etc..

Please suggest me to come out of this problem.

I am facing an issue when i run an third party application inside the vmware client .The application runs perfectly fine outside the vmware client .It looks like there must be some dll or dependency required for that application which is already there is xp and not there in vmware .is there soem way to find that out quickly .or is thee any other issue due to which application is unable to run inside vmware.

Outlook keeps getting my home email and I can't figure out how to stop it.  My home email addresses are no where to be found in Outlook, but yet they keep retreving emails.

Anyone know how to stop this or configure Outlook so it stops.

My outgoing SMTP server is Exchange.  I am testing an SMTP server on my workstation and have set up Exchange to route emails to my workstation.  This has been verified by sending emails using Opera's mail client and programmatically, though the same Exchange server, and observing the emails being received by my workstation.

How can I block  changing tabs from a TabControl Vb.NET , so the user is obligated to use a navigation panel.... setting enabled property to false  for each tab when user click a button is done, but makes the code very large.... i´m talking about 13 tabs, so if anyone knows a small func for blockin all click events on tabs i´ll be very gratefull---

I'm writing a Telnet Emulator for an application that I am working on.  Because of organizational demands, I have to emulate a pre-written Telnet client.  I have successfully connected to the server and sent commands.  However, I get to a point that the client needs to send key presses.  On the telnet client that I need to be emulating, the general processing is as follows:

1.  Cursor Displays

2.  User presses <<SELECT>> key (select no longer exists, so it is mapped to the "DEL" key)

3.  User presses down arrow

4.  User presses <<SELECT>> key

Repeat steps 3/4 2 more times, then the user presses enter.  The enter key is the easy command.....

Anyways, Here is my code for sending in a WriteLine function:

The commands I'm sending to the Write function to emulate are:

(Broken up because of debugging code).  I think the problem may be in the unicode characters I am passing. 

From searching the internet, I've found \u0018 is the down arrow key/action, \u001F is Del key (how it's mapped).  That's probably where my error is occuring.

I am running linpuslite with an 8g ssd. When I boot the machine, I do not see the task bar. I cannot access the internet or get &amp;amp;quot;network connections&amp;quot; to initialize. I see a small window"that has a 10 point "star" in the center of it. When I hover my mouse over it, a dialog box open that tells me: new item. this item has not yet been been configured. I have no idea what this is and I have tried left and right clicking it, no result. I used "Live Update" on saturday evening and powered off, all of this has been ongoing since I booted on sunday.

If the user selects a Ford Mustang from a combo box (cboModel), then the command button compares the selection the user made to the model table (tblModel).  From there the command button sends you to the hyperlink of the model you chose. The table has the models listed as well as the hyperlinks in another field.

Is C2 trace path configurable in SQL Server 2005 & 2000?

1. Project is created with task assignments and is published to the Project Server

2. Task updates are working fine from project server.

3. If you update the Health of a project from project professional and publish the project, updated health information is shown under My task.

4. If you try to update the Health from My task and submit the updates, the task approver gets the updates with all the changes including the Health information. Once he approves and publish the project, the Health information is not updated in the Project Professional.

I host multiple domains on my SBS 2003 / Exchange 2003 server. I need to be able to send email from each domain and have the reverse DNS match. I have multiple static IPs. Each static IP already has the reverse DNS setup by my ISP. I have added a second NIC to the server and configured it to pull one of my static IPs.

I thought I would only need to add a 2nd SMTP virtual server using the new IP (which I did) but how do I make the email sent from user1@domain1.com use the default SMTP server and email from user2@domain2.com use the new SMTP virtual server?

I setup user2 to have domain2 as the default SMTP email address in the user properties. I also set the FQDN on the 2nd SMTP server to domain2.com.

How do I make this work, or is this totally the wrong approach?
