Database date range definition

Hi-

When setting my Cube Custom Settings, I would like to set the database date
range to specify the date range of data included on the cube.  Can you
explain which data it is referring to?  For example, is it the CREATE date?
So, if I set the date range to 4/3/07 as the start date and a resource was
created in PS on 4/1, will that resource be included?  Or is it the date the
resource was last updated?

Same with projects - if  project was created on 3/20, will that project
appear?  What if the project was updated on 4/4 - then will it be included?
