visual studio & blend:Keeping files in sync

mike posted on Saturday, April 07, 2007 3:04 PM

1) I create a VS WPF XAML Browser App.
2) I open the project with blend
3) I add a file or folder in Visual Studio
4) I switch to Blend and the folder or file is not there

Is this an RC1 Bug is there a workaround?

Thanks,

Mike

When you add the file in VS, do you save the project file?

When you add the file in VS, do you save the project file? If not, there
could be a bug. Also, is this specific to a XBap project, or for any WPF
project type?

Such an issue is not known, and hence we were not planning on fixing this
for our final version.

Thanks,

If I save all in visual studio then blend notifies me and updates the files
so new folders etc. are shown.

Yes, so this is by design.

Yes, so this is by design. We listen for project file changes to keep VS and
Blend in sync.

Thanks for the clarification!
