Mapping Problem - jbrook3708

Wednesday, April 11, 2007 3:46 PM

Hello, I'm new to biztalk and am having problems creating a map with
functoids.

Visual Studio won't let me connect the a field from the source schema
to the functoid. Strangely, I can successfully connect any destination
field to the functoid.

Here's a screen shot of my problem:

As you can see the line is not properly connected to the functoid, no
matter what I try it just won't connect it properly, and as expected
when I go into "Configure functoid inputs" the input parameter list is
empty.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Usually it is "By design". - Leonid Ganeline

Usually it is "By design".
That's mean something wrong with your Input to this functoid. Open the Input
parameters window for it and read comment about what specific is for this
parameters. Then check when you have a mistake.

Mapping Problem - Jan Eliasen

Can you tell us:
1. Which functoid is it? I assume it is string concatenation, but it
is a bit difficult to see on the screenshot.

2. What is the type of the input element you can not connect to the
functoid?

It seems to be String Concatenate Functoid.
See to it that the Source Field CustomerFirstname is of type string.
