Eachtime my desktop loads, there's a process SYSLEM.EXE that keeps running.
It takes 50% CPU usage. Even "Performance Tool " reported that its affecting
my boot n shutdown time ! Can anyone tell me what this process is n whether i
can disable it and how?

Hello NISH,

Have you scanned your system for malware (spyware, adware, trojans, and
other pests) using other tools, like Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, a-Squared, Ewido,
Spyware Doctor, Pest Patrol (online)?

I did google it, and it doesn't look good,

Hi,An evil for sure - delete it.

Marcin Domaslawski posted on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 1:40 PM

Hi,

An evil for sure - delete it. Open Task Manager (CTRL + ALT + DEL) ->
Processes tab -> find proces and kill it.
Next go to Windows \ System32 find file and delete (look out on system.exe -
this one is correct).
Open Run -> regedit.exe and surf to keys:
HKCU \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run
and
HKLM \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run

and delete entry related with this file - probably "sysems".
