this newsgroup is great!  as a novice to win32 programming, i was able
to get some hard (for me!) problems solved amazingly quickly.  well
they all turned out to be simple errors on my part but i never would
have figured it out.

thanks to all the great mvp's and others here!

i thought it was going to be the blind leading the blind but that
turned out to be anti-MS bias on my part.
Well, I still hate Windows! :-)

You should also check out Google Groups. Most of the questions have
already been answered and available for searching thru Google. Its a
great resource for all.

One of the best things about MFC, imo, is that there are so many people
willing to help others get started and work with their programs.  I see the
same is true for .NET since I've been monitoring some of those newsgroups.
Microsoft goes a long ways to support the peer to peer community on these
groups.
