A commercial is a route that allow trucks with commercial plates to travel on
as apposed to parkways which are non-commercial and only allow car on. This
is common in NY and CT

S&T has no such function, but even if it did it could be considered
somewhat irresponsible to not check any questionable portions of a
route against the Rand McNally Motor Carrier's Atlas.

The first rule of truck driving is "-never- let anyone else drive your
truck", and I think that applies to software as well.

Checking a route with the RM MCA, I think, would cover a driver's "due
diligence" in avoiding any restricted routes, should his diligence
come into question before a judge or jury. No prosecutor can point to
a better reference and say you should have checked that.

Cover Your Ass is the second rule of truck driving, probably because
it's always hanging out there for just about any and everybody to pass
the blame to, and just about everybody dislikes trucks and truck
drivers.

You could spend the money for truck routing software, but I think it
would also be wisest to always check that as well, so...

You know, I see a lot more idiots in 4 wheelers than 18. Trucks are good and
drivers are just trying to earn a buck just like me.

I'm still trying to figure out who switched the lesson plans for
driver's-ed? That person needs to be strung-up. It really seems like those
lessons have been easily forgotten. Occasionally, I see a trucker who lacks
consideration, but more often than not its the 4-wheeler. It's too bad too.
This lack of consideration for safety and other drivers sharing the road is
what makes travel really seem like work. (I know, I do stupid crap too.)

Sam:
You can get a software package named "PC Miler" for commercial truckers.
Don't know the cost and you may already know this.
