ipconfig is empty...lost my ip? - MrSohcahto

Thursday, September 06, 2007 2:44 PM

I was just uninstalling items from the ‘add and remove’ window; and I came
across zonealarm. I had stopped using it years ago and thought I had removed
it long ago. I guess I didn’t. Anyways once it was uninstalled and I had
rebooted I couldn’t connect to the internet.

I'm using a lan. Once i noticed the internet wasn’t working I tried to
connect to the lan via FF and the gateway ip address, which didn’t even work.
All the other computers on the lan work fine. I went into cmd-> ipconfig and
to my dismay have found I have no ip info at all. ipconfig returns nothing,
just empty space. I’m guessing this has something to do with uninstalling
zonealarm; however, it is possible I removed something else by mistake.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try to re-install the TCP/IP.
