lost my public IP - pavel

Thursday, September 13, 2007 4:05 PM

being a total dilattante, i hope you are not going to dress me down
for this question: a few days ago i was given a public IP by my ISP.
After I reinstalled my system (Win XP), it seems to me i don=B4t have my
public ip anymore. What settings do I have to do? Is it possible that
reinstalling and/or disconecting the LAN cable (which I actually also
did) can cause this?
Thanks for any help

reinstalling would lose your public IP
call your ISP to find out what it is and add it back
