View doesn't show beyond 1000 documents

Palmero posted on Thursday, October 11, 2007 8:24 AM

I'm very new to running WSS 2.0 and I have a View with a number of uploaded
documents.
For some reason if I want to add the 1000th Word-document (upload it) the
view doesn't
display it, only up to number 999.

2 other views say to have 1409 and 2107 items in them, so I wonder what is
wrong with
the view or library. Who has any suggestions?

What is the setting for the Document Library for that View for the
number of documents to show at a time ?

Note that in Item Limit for a View you can also specify that the figure
you specified is not the View per page but is the total number of
documents allowed in the view at all.

So set Item View to 999 and click on the lower radio button and you get
what you get.

Small correction, it is a Document Library that is giving problems.

Is there a maximum of files that are accepted to be uploaded to a Document
Library?
If so, where can I change that?
reply

No but you need to modify the view and check the item limit like Mikestated

Problem solved.

Problem solved.
Seemed the view was sorting upon filename and those happened to be
numbered 001, 002 etc. Which made document 1000 show up on page 2
(max 100 items per pageview). Thanks for your input.
