IE7 crashes when opening group of tabs! - Don Varnau |

Hi,
If the problem doesn't occur when running with add-ons disabled, you need to
re-enable add-ons one at a time (from IE> Tools> Manage add-ons) until the
problem returns. You will then have found the troublesome add-on.
See: http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/troubleshoot.asp
for troubleshooting information.

Hope this helps,

I know of three causes for the vast majority of such problems:
1. Incompatible add-ons: What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop
and choose Start Without Add-ons?
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons).
2. Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
Scroll to the bottom and click Reset Internet Explorer Settings. See this
article first:
How to use Reset Internet Explorer Settings (RIES):

3. Malware already installed on the computer: Help with malware

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus,
whose ads for
malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you
owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.

I don't know what prompted you to make this observation, "NON of u read my
first message ". You received a reply from Don Varnau [MS MVP- IE] in this
thread which included some steps to be taken to try and resolve your
issue(as you described it in your original post). Have you tried the
troubleshooting advice offered to you?
To me it means nothing other than you have stated that you reformatted your
hard drive, reinstalled the Operating System, reinstalled IE7 and used the
RIES(Reset Internet Explorer Settings) feature in an attempt to resolve your
issue. It does not tell us what other Third Party software(Add-on(s)) you
may have installed(after you reformatted).
You further stated that your problem does not exist if you start IE7 in no
add-ons mode(Start Without Add-ons), this implies that you have a Third
Party Add-on installed on your machine that is causing your issue. And to
that end, Don Varnau gave you some troubleshooting steps to follow in an
effort to resolve(trace down) the Add-on that is causing this issue for you.
Have you tried the troubleshooting steps already posted to this thread?
Good luck,

the thing is i have no third party add-ons except if its right to describe
microsoft itself as a third party and the reason is that the add-ons i have
are the basic ones:
Windows media player: wmpdxm.dll
XML DOM Document: Msxml3.dll
these bother are found basically without installing any thing and are made
by Microsoft.
The Only Third party (but also found after formatting the PC) is the Sun
Java add-on
ssv.dll and thats also is found after formating because the sun java is
included in Windows OS installation.
ONLY these three add-ons are enabled and these three are causing the issue
?!!?!?! how come !!!! |

Then you probably have some malware that doesn't show up in the list of
add-ons but is stopped by starting with add-ons disabled.
Do a thorough check for malware, following all of the steps at one of these
Web pages.

Hi,
That suggests to me that an add-on is causing the problem- possibly (based
on your later post) Sun Java.

How about the Flash Player, do you have that installed?
Sun Java is not included with any version of Windows that I'm aware of, If
you used a Windows XP Pro installation CD to reinstall the operating system
then you wouldn't have have a Java Virtual Machine unless you downloaded and
installed it from Sun.
Did you try(As Don Varnau suggested) to enable||disable them one at a time
until you find the one causing the problem? As suggested at the site he
supplied the link for:

Windows media player: wmpdxm.dll
thats really sad :-( . its supposed to work perfectly in its
mother-environment

In that case, I'm sure you've upgraded it to the lastest secure version of
their Java Virtual Machine after your re-install of the Operating System?
The latest version of the Java Virtual Machine from Sun is "Java(TM) 6 Udate
3" and can be found here:
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
I was curious because in your OP you did not mention the Flash Player Add-on
You might try making sure the DLL file(wmpdxm.dll) is properly registered,
type(or copy and paste) the following into the run box:
regsvr32 wmpdxm.dll
And click OK
You might also try uninstalling Windows Media Player 11 per the instructions
here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/installation.mspx
This should roll you back to the previous version you had installed. If the
problem is gone after this, then try re-installing WMP11.
It's working perfectly in it's "mother-environment" here with Windows XP,
IE7, and WMP11 installed.
You might try seeking help with the Windows Media Player in the Windows
Media Player news group.

Hummmm....
I thought with Sun Java the equation looked something like this:
JRE = JVM+Classes+Runtime Libraries+Browser Plugin
