Shortcut to Mapped Drive Stops working. - mkuh

I am working in domain environment and have a persistant drive mapping .
\\servername\sharename.

For some reason when I log out and log back in the shortcut on the desktop
will not access the drive (no errors or indicators either). When I go to the
command prompt I see the drive with "net view". I can also access the drive
through the command prompt. Then when I go back to the desktop the short cut
works as well.

Has anyone experienced this?
