pop up window in program - pat gibbons26

Sunday, February 24, 2008 9:44 PM

we use a program that when you want to view a report, it opens another
explorer window and displays the report. you can then print the report or
save it - and if you save it - it's a pdf file.

just recently when we click the view button, the new explorer window opens,
you get a beep, and then the widow disappears.

there is no error message, and it's only happening on one of our computers.
the pop up blocker is set to allow pop-ups from this site, and even turning
off the blocker you get the same result.

Is this a question about Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer? - Leonard Grey

Is this a question about Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer?

Have you contacted the program's technical support?

When you don't say what versions of Internet Explorer and Windows you
have, what version of Adobe Reader and what program you're talking
about, the best you can hope for is a lucky guess. Here's mine:
Uninstall whatever version of Adobe Reader you have, restart the
computer, install the latest version of Adobe Reader (v8.1.2).

Hi Pat,

That would be the popup blocker of an Addon toolbar, perhaps the Google
toolbar.

Test by disabling all toolbars and browser helpers. Tools>Internet Options -
Advanced tab, uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions". Restart the
browser.

Regards.
