Changing Users Email Address (MOSS 2007) - TisMe

Hi All,

I have a VM setup for study/learning/testing as follows:

- Windows Server 2003 SP2
- MOSS 2007
- No Domain (Workgroup)

I have as far logged in as administrator only (Not been worried about
users/groups yet). I am trying to figure out incoming/outgoing email
for alerts etc. Can anyone tell me how I edit the email address for a
user?

I've tried 'Home > People and Groups > User Information' - Clicking
edit shows the info, but doesnt let me edit it.

Also tried 'Welcome (User) > My Settings' - Again, edit button is
there, clicking it doesnt let me edit!

I've read up on this, and understand the distinction/link between WSS/
MOSS profiles, but I just cant find anywhere to edit the users info.

I'm wondering if this is because I am not running a domain, therefore
no AD?

Any help will be much appreciated...I must be missing something simple
here! >:-\

Ok, worked it out - You can edit the properties in the SSP, although
quite how end users make amendments I dont know!
