You can force a deletion of all rules on your mailbox via;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /cleanrules

new mail rule: Clear Categories on mail (recommended) - where did this come from?

I did have a trial install of OL 2007 on my laptop, which I deleted
because I didn't like the new ribbon interface nor did I see enough
improvements in OL 2007 to justify all the pain involved in migration.
Thanks for the tip.
However, I have lots of rules and I don't want to have to re-enter
them. If I create an export file, can I edit that file before
re-importing my rules? In fact, more generally, is there any way to
edit an rwz file?
