Internet Explorer Icon Has Disappeared

My desktop icon for Internet Explorer is no longer visible and I cannot seem
to get it back, even after reinstalling IE 7.  Therefore I do not have a link
for it.

Can anyone help?

The desktop icon for IE 7 was removed, as I understand it, to be in compliance

The desktop icon for IE 7 was removed, as I understand it, to be in
compliance with agreements made during legal negotiations. You can
always drag a shortcut to IE to the desktop.
